Happy Birthday to Me!!!
We’re driving to PDX tonight to ring in the New Year. We’ll be staying at the Inn at Northrup Station because it looks like this:
How fun is that!??! Brightly colored, modern boutique kitzch! I love it! I can’t wait. We have this room for a whole two nights (because who wants to drive back to Seattle all hung over, on the first?!?! Not me!). The price was just right and the Inn is definitely interesting, quirky and fun. The bonus – it’s right on the streetcar line for responsible NYE travel.
To ring in the New Year in style, we’ll do sushi for dinner (it’s good for you!), and maybe do a drink at Scooters (a fave, just around the corner from the Crystal Ballroom). There are plans to visit GroundKontrol for some free pinball and then see where the party train takes us!
I haven’t decided on an outfit… something involving red Fleuvog boots (with the Minnie heel)… maybe scalloped tights? Maybe my 518′s with the red stitch? I’m waiting to see what the weather does…
It’ll be a blast. I wish I had a lomo for fun party train pictures! Yay!
