Fall Transitions

Filed in Awesome, Fashion and Style Tags: , , , , ,

I figured I haven’t done a stylish post here recently, and with the multiplicity of fashion events recently, I’ve been in the mood for style!

From head to toe, my fall style picks are indicative of the change in weather, a change in mood, and the need for a little… extra – something to keep us upbeat as the darker, gray weather sets in.

Everyone in the Pacific NW could use an umbrella and I’m IN LOVE with this – Nothing says rainy fall city like Modcloth’s Piano Man Umbrella.

I definitely think your fall could use a pop of bright red – to match turning leaves!  This gorgeous necklace by Flutterbudget does the trick.  If you didn’t know, Deco Modiste and Flutterbudget paired up for the Eco Lavish Fashion Show, October 9th, to show our Spring/Summer 2010 line.  To read more about Flutterbudget, or to see MORE pretties, visit Deco Modiste!

“Each piece is made from vintage or reclaimed buttons and beads, with a few interesting modern ones thrown in.  Flutterbudget designs embrace the minor imperfections of vintage items as part of their beauty and charm.”

This dress from Modcloth would be so cute for an afternoon coffee  – paired with tights and a long sleeve tee.  It’s so snuggly-looking…

My boots won’t stay up (they’re scrunchy) and so the other day, Jaka and I decided that these are the perfect fix!  When I get a pair, there will be photos posthaste, but for the moment my hard drive (and my photo software *sobs*) are kaput.  Never fret, just imagine the possibilities of these, while you wait…

A girl needs a good coat, and how Mary Tyler Moore is THIS coat?  Hmm?!  It’s the perfect shade of blue…

WHAT?! Argyle leggings!?  The nerdgirl in me screams YESYES YES!

Nab this skirt and pair it with the above leggings, or tights and boots.  Wear them with wrap skirts that are super cute, and will be a staple in the months to come.

Ok… These aren’t SUPER practical if you live somewhere wet, but it’s not Winter yet so no need to break out your Wellies.  And I want them anyhow.

I’ve got about a million other things on my Wishpot list right now – and if you didn’t notice, I’m using Wishpot to compile myself a list of the fabulous things I stumble across every day.  You should check it out!  For more info on those products, check out my Wishpot list below; or stay tuned for more additions to the “Things Bird wants for Fall!” list.

Bisous!
