Today we celebrate the inauguration of our newest President, Barack Obama. Today we celebrate the change that has come to our world as we once knew it. On the day after the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Dream, our first non-Caucasian President has been sworn into the White House and has asked us to work towards change.
President Obama’s first mission: Make January 20th, 2009 the National Day of Renewal and Reconciliation.
President O is challenging you – how can you work towards change? Whether it is working towards bettering your community, or simply working towards bettering your own life – ask yourself “What am I doing to make progress? What am I doing to make life a little sweeter?”
I am committed to living la bonne vie, and to accomplish that, I’m focusing on my abilities to learn, love, grow and guide. So far, it’s been the best year, ever!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to recognize the ways to adapt and implement change to make this YOUR bonne vie.
On a side note -
Obviously the face of our government is changing – and with starry eyes, we hope for the best. As well as giving a streaming video address each week, the newest administration discusses changes in their communication policy via the White House Blog. Go! Read! Be informed! They have a blog! How progressive!
