We will resume our regularly scheduled programming ….

The parasol room at the Wynn

I think I’ll be back to writing next week. Vegas is such an overwhelming experience that I’ve come back in a daze and need a few days to collect myself. A couple things to note:

1. Don’t chase your fortune when you’re in Vegas. If you’re going to play, sit and do it – odds on many games are that you’ll come out even sooner or later. If you chase it, you may leave before the odds hit in your favor.

2. The rest of the world is deathly quiet comparatively. I noticed this when I got home and was walking around on the Ave (and the Ave is not a quiet place). After a while you get used to hearing the bing-bong of slots. Eesh!

3. It’s beastly dry out there, and if you are one of those people who washes your hands after the bathroom, nab one of the little body lotions from your hotel, or bring some with you. Chapped hands – no fun!

4. Two or three days is REALLY enough. We walked a good portion of the strip about 12 times. I’ve definitely got a crazy body tired like you wouldn’t believe.

5. Even though those drink girls are trying to get you to order booze, stay H2O hydrated. They’ll bring you water if you ask. I would go so far as to keep one of the little bottles and diligently refill it, and chug.

Mister and I did get some cute photos:

Excuse the photo grainy-ness – we were using our cheapie Lomo and it came with 100 ISO film. We REALLY could have used 400 ISO film, because there’s no exposure setting on the camera.

I managed to come home with a good amount in my pocket! After playing, drinking, dining and buying a souvenir for someone special, I came back with $90 less than I left with. My souvenir was about $25, which means I averaged $65 over three days – that’s just over $20 a day to hang out in Vegas. Granted, we did spend money on penny slots – to kill time, sit and chill, and obtain free drinks but I consider it worth it. I left my emergency $$ card in the hotel room, only took what cash I needed and didn’t blow my entire roll.

More pictures to come later, when we develop them (and hopefully there’s some good photos) and more regular posting when I finally snap myself out of this daze! Haha.

The pictures are SO cute! I can’t wait to see more– and I think the grainy-ness (which is like, really non-existant)looks awesome.
